LABC Building Excellence Awards 2014 – Finalist
We’re delighted to report that Soundhouse are a finalist in the South East LABC Building Excellence Awards 2014, for Best Local Builder or Traditional Craftsmanship. This award recognises good small general builders or specialists in local craft skills, with an emphasis on:
Vernacular buildings reflecting local traditions and construction materials
Consistency of high quality craft skills
A history of repeating good quality work
Local, small scale projects in the domestic or new build market
The Building Excellence Awards are all about the essence of good buildings. Finalists are not judged on architectural beauty, but on the “Excellence” shown from a construction and technical building control point of view. The awards recognise not just buildings but celebrate their design and construction teams that have tussled with technical issues, difficult sites and found innovative and creative solutions.
